How Does Lamborghini make Leather Goods?
Instead of disposing of the left-over leather parts from products that are not suitable for the interior of the super sports car, Lamborghini recovers and transforms them into new resources. These new resources are derived keeping in mind the benefits for the environment and society. Similarly, Cartiera carefully adheres to the principles of social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and fine craftsmanship. Lamborghini and Cartiera recover high-quality leather coming directly from the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory to use it in ethical and socially responsible production. These two companies share the same values, and their collaboration brings to life some of the most unique and exclusive leather goods.
How Sustainable is Lamborghini?
From the very beginning, Lamborghini focuses strongly on sustainability and work ethics in its production processes and relationships with the employees. In 2020, Lamborghini launched two circular economy projects as a part of its recycling process. As a result, almost 56% of production waste (carbon fiber and leather) are recycled to new resources instead of being discarded.
What are the Various Lamborghini Goods?
The Upcycled Leather Project starts with the production of the first four leather products, including a key fob, a cardholder, a smartphone case, and a tote bag. Lamborghini customized all these products with their shield logo and are available in black and other colors. The colors of these products primarily depend on the availability of recovered leather.
The Lamborghini collection is now available for sale at the Lamborghini flagship store in Sant’Agata Bolognese and will soon be available at the official online shop and various Lamborghini dealers. Feel free to reach out to us at Lamborghini Austin in Austin, TX, to learn more about them.
